Irrigation system winner
Irrigation winner

Pauline Clayton of Normandale is the lucky winner of a garden irrigation system as part of this year’s Be the Difference summer water conservation competition.

A journalist for the Hutt News, Pauline was doing research on the summer drought on this web site when she came across the competition and decided to enter, even though she says “I don’t usually win things!”.

Pauline says the information on the website is very useful, particularly for people wanting to do the right thing.

Greater Wellington’s Marketing Adviser Shelley Grant says: “We had a very tough summer for water, so we’re delighted that the winner is clearly so enthusiastic about water conservation. We hope the new irrigation system will help Pauline make a difference!”

The $2,500 irrigation system was donated by Greater Wellington and Total Irrigation Ltd. Technician Robert Willis was on-hand for the installation, which took place recently.
